Men's Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer Quran Dublin Makes His Mark At York College; Dublin Receives All-Met Division III Second Team Honors

New York, New York - Former BMCC Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer and York College senior guard Quran Dublin was recognized by the Met Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) as a 2022 All-Met Division III Second-Team honoree. Dublin, a two-time CUNYAC Community College Player of the Year, was the Cardinal's first All-Met selection since 2013-14.

Dublin put up an outstanding senior season at York College, leading the Cardinals in scoring average at 21.8 points per game, in three-pointers made with 60 while dishing out a team-high 111 assists and snagging a team-best 49 steals. The New York native led the CUNYAC in free-throw percentage (89.3) and minutes per game (36.2) and was the second-leading scorer in the conference. 

Dublin, a two-time CUNYAC Player of the Week, MBWA Co-Player of the Week, and three-time MBWA Honorable Mention winner, led York College to their first CUNYAC Championship semifinal since the 2014-15 season. He also finished ranked among the Division III leaders in free-throw percentage (12th), points per game (21st), minutes per game (22nd), points (39th, 524), field goals made (51st), assists per game (75th), assists (86th, 111), and steals per game (90th).

Dublin is one of the most decorated Panther basketball players in school history, becoming the first player in school history to eclipse the 1,000 career point mark and scored 1,159 points for his career, which is the most in BMCC men's basketball history. Dublin was also a part of one of the most successful runs in Panthers' men's basketball history, helping BMCC capture two straight CUNYAC Community College Men's Basketball Championships during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons with back-to-back 20 win seasons and a 41-18 record overall. 

Dublin was also named a 2018-19 NJCAA All-American Third Team selection after leading the Panthers to a second straight 20-win season at 20-9 overall while also finishing as BMCC men's basketball program's all-time leader in career three-pointers made with 179 and concluding his illustrious career in the top ten in program history in three other statistical categories with 205 career assists and 89 career steals, third and fourth in program history, and tying for seventh all-time 304 career rebounds.
