NEW YORK, NY -  Panthers complete the season sweep of the Kingsborough Community College Wave with a 73-68 victory in Brooklyn, New York.  Leading the scoring for the Panthers was sophomore Brandon Duran (New York, New York) who registered 22 points, his 3rd straight 20+ point game, which included five trifectas in the 1st half.  Powered by their timely buckets and strong defensive effort, BMCC went into the half with a 49-33 lead.  The second half saw the Wave fight back to cut the deficit to 4 points late in the game.  However, the Panthers would not surrender the lead, getting big stops including a huge block from Naiim Walker (Brooklyn, New York) to quell the KCC momentum.

With the win, BMCC improves to 7-10 overall (6-9 in region, 4-4 in conference) and move into 7th place in the Region XV standings.  The Panthers have a week off before their next match when they host the #10 team in the country - Dutchess CC - at 7:30pm on Thursday, January 29th.
