NEW YORK, NY - BMCC took to the court Saturday afternoon vs. Suffolk County Community College looking to exact revenge from their loss vs. the Sharks in December. Back and forth action from both teams to start the game saw the Panthers with a slim 27-19 lead halfway through the first half. BMCC stepped up their defensive effort, stifling the Sharks offense, anchored by the shot blocking of
Naiim Walker (Brooklyn, New York). Increased defensive intensity, and timely baskets from
Brandon Duran (New York, New York) and
Noah Smith (Brooklyn, New York), saw the Panthers go on a 15-0 run to end the half and take a commanding 42-19 lead into the half. Four more trifectas in the 2nd half from the Panthers, helped propel them to a 75-58 victory over the Sharks.

With the win, BMCC improves to 8-11 overall (7-10 in region, 4-4 in conference). The Panthers return to action Tuesday, February 3rd, when they travel to the Bronx to take on the Caimans of Hostos Community College.
