New York, New York | Our "Sophomore Spotlight " is a series of profiles about five men's basketball players from the 2019-20 season, continuing with point guard
Damonie Askew (Brooklyn, New York).
In just one season at BMCC,
Askew provided a major offensive jolt off the bench in 22 career appearances. The Brooklyn, New York native, put up 60 total points had his best performance on the road against
Bergen County Community College on Dec. 12, 2019, when he dropped 17 points.
Askew also dished out 24 career assists, including a career-best six assists - all in the first half- against
Rockland Community College on Feb. 8, 2020, while also grabbing 30 career rebounds, and 16 career steals to end his time as a Panther.
Askew, a graduate of Abraham Clark High School in Brooklyn, New York, is majoring in Business Administration.
