Queens, New York – After COVID-19 denied a rematch of a thrilling 2019 CUNYAC CC Men's Soccer Championship two seasons ago, top-seeded Queensborough Community College and second-seeded Borough of Manhattan Community College finally have a chance to battle for bragging rights. The Panthers and Tigers will duke it out for a seventh time in eight seasons, with Queensborough looking to claim back-to-back titles since they three-peated from 2013 to 2015, while BMCC is looking for their 13th CUNYAC championship in program history.

The match will be broadcasted on Facebook Live at 7 p.m. as Ralph Bednarczyk will be on the play-by-play call, and Cary Gluck will be on color. Live stats will also be provided for the match through SIDEARM.

Scouting Queensborough Community College
Queensborough Community College are the defending CUNYAC CC Men's Soccer champions and returns to the title game for a ninth consecutive season seeking the program's ninth championship.
The Tigers secured a second consecutive regular season championship finishing the regular season 7-3, including a perfect 4-0 against CUNYAC opponents with a 4-1 win over the Panthers back in September. Queensborough is led on offense by Anthony Gallardo, a CUNYAC Player of the Week honoree. He enters tonight's match-up with a team-best six goals and two assists for 14 points, while 2021 championship game MVP John Pavana is second on the team with 12 points on five goals and two assists.
Scouting BMCC
BMCC enters Monday's match with two wins in their last three games at 6-6 overall. Ademola Opesanwo (Bronx, New York) is the Panther's top goal scorer with a team-high seven markers this season with three of them game-winners. El Hadji Ady Gaye (Dakar, Senegal), a CUNYAC Player of the Week winner and the only returning member of the 2019 CUNYAC CC Championship team, ranks second on the squad with 15 points and six goals with a team-best two multi-goal games this season. Goalkeeper Abdul Mumin Seidu (Bronx, New York) is the Panther's leader between the Pipes with a team-best 63 saves and a .809 save percentage and was an NJCAA DIII Goalie of the Week honoree two weeks ago. He also has two double-digit save performances with a career-high 17 stops last week against Suffolk County Community College.
Championship History
Monday marks the 11th time in conference history that the two teams are matched up for the league trophy, with BMCC holding a 7-3 series advantage. The Panthers won the last championship meeting between the two squads 5-4 as BMCC scored twice in the final eight minutes, with the winner coming off the head of sophomore Domagoj Budimir-Bekan (Split, Croatia) in the 84th minute.
