Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Late Goal Propels Panthers Past QCC 2-1

NEW YORK, NY - Men's Soccer continues their unbeaten start to the 2025 season following a 2-1 victory over CUNY rival Queensborough Community College.  The Panthers started the game off with a strong attack, pushing the first goal into the net 14 minutes into the game.  The goal registered by Boubacar Barry (Brooklyn, New York), his 2nd on the season, came off a great cross pass from Gabriel Querevalu (Queens, New York), to give the Panthers an early 1-0.  Moments later the Panthers missed a golden opportunity to go up 2-0 on a pass into the box that just missed the foot of the streaking Waseem Mohamed (Bronx, New York).  A Tigers goal minutes later tied the game at 1 a piece and it stayed that way through the half as both teams went into break tied 1-1.  With just under 8 minutes left to play in the game, Mohamed, got an opportunity to redeem himself from the earlier missed opportunity.  The sophomore from the Bronx, New York, did just that as he received a great pass from Sulaiman Doumbia (Mali), and buried a goal in the upper corner past the QCC goalkeeper.  The team leading 3rd goal on the season for Waseem gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead.  The Panthers held off the final QCC attack and took the conference match by a final score of 2-1
