New York, NY | Former BMCC basketball player, Viktor Kovacevic (Belgrade, Serbia) has committed to play basketball and continue his education at Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois. Quincy University is an NCAA Division II program and a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Kovacevic has been a fixture on the hardwood his two seasons at BMCC. He had a breakout freshman campaign, leading the Panthers in total rebounds [205}, rebounding per game [8.5], and blocks [39]. He followed it up with a solid sophomore season, averaging 12.6 points and a team-leading 8.5 rebounds per game. His best performance came during the 2019 CUNYAC Semifinals, dropping a career-high 37 points against Queensboro Community College.
His 662 career points ranked fourth in school history and his 460 career boards are tied for fourth, while his 57 career blocks are seventh. He scored in double figures 37 times and reached double digits in rebounds 20 times during his career. He also received CUNYAC All-Star honors during his freshman and sophomore seasons.
