Men’s Soccer Set for Monday Night’s CUNYAC CC Championship

The Panthers finished atop the CUNYAC regular-season table with a 4-0 conference record

NEW YORK, NY| The Borough of Manhattan Community College men's soccer team will compete in the City University of New York Athletic Conference Community College Men's Soccer Championship on Monday, October 20 at 7:00 PM at Metropolitan Oval in Maspeth Queens.

BMCC's opponent is defending CUNYAC champion Queensborough Community College, whom the Panthers defeat in their first game of the season on September 6  4-3. After falling behind three times in that game, the Panthers fought back with goals from Jonathan Lopez (2), Abdul Muftau and Angelo Chavez.

After going undefeated in CUNYAC play (4-0) in 2014, BMCC (7-2-1 overall) looks to capture its second CUNYAC title in three years and carry momentum into the NJCAA Region XV playoffs set to begin on Saturday, October 25. The Panthers will open with a first-round matchup against Westchester Community College at 1:00 PM in Kingsborough Community College.
