Panthers Dominant In Win Over LaGuardia
NEW YORK, NY - Fresh off a 3-1 victory in their season opener, BMCC looked to continue their winning ways at the friendly confines of Pier 40. An offensive barrage from the Panthers led BMCC to a dominant 7-0 victory over CUNY conference foe LaGuardia CC! The Panthers got the scoring going early with a 7th minute goal from
Doro Niang (Dakar, Senegal) off an assist from
Thierno Sow (Conakry, Guinea).
Two more 1st half goals, from
Leonardo De Nobrega (New York, New York) and
Emanuel Artiga (Brooklyn, New York), helped the Panthers take a 3-0 lead into the half. In the second half, BMCC took it to another level, registering 4 more goals, including two more from
Doro Niang in route to his 1st collegiate hat trick, and an impressive 7-0 victory. Between the pipes, freshman
Juan Moreno (Medellin, Colombia), registered the 1st clean sheet of his career; saving all 4 shots on goal from LaGuardia.
With the win, the Panthers improve to 2-0 overall, 2-0 in conference.
