Charlotte, North Carolina - After going a perfect 2-0 record last week, capped off by a dominant 5-1 upset of NJCAA Division III No. 8 ranked Westchester Community College, the BMCC men's soccer team cracked the NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Week 7 polls at No. 10, as announced by the NJCAA on Monday. The Panthers are in the NJCAA polls for the first time since the 2000s and have defeated three ranked teams this season.

The Panthers are one of three Region 15 men's soccer teams ranked in the Top 10, with Nassau Community College ranked fifth in the nation, and Monroe-Bronx ranked seventh.

The Panthers were led during the week by freshmen forwards Sebastien George (Brooklyn, New York) and Clovens Loussaint (Brooklyn, New York), who teamed up to roll off five straight goals during a 5-1 defeat of Westchester Community College last Saturday. George posted his first career hat trick against the Vikings with the equalizer on a Penalty Kick in the 21st minute and then scored two more markers in the second half in the 58th minute and 77th minute. Loussaint posted five points in the match against the Vikings, with two goals and an assist. His first goal was the game-winner in the 23rd minute, and the second was an insurance goal in the 29th.

Five of George's eight goals this year are versus NJCAA Soccer Division III ranked opponents this season, with one each against No. 7 Ulster County Community College and No. 8 Kingsborough Community College to go along with three tallies last Saturday versus No. 8 Westchester Community College.  The Brooklyn, New York native has also registered 11 of his 18 points against ranked opponents this year, with five goals and an assist total.

Loussaint joined George with one of the five Panther goals earlier in the week during a 5-1 victory over Orange County Community College, and the Brooklyn native also had three goals and an assist in his two games last week.

Loussaint, who had both game-winning goals for the Panthers last week, leads the Panthers with nine goals, including three-game winners, six assists, and 24 points. George is second with eight goals and 18 points. The Panthers have outscored their opponents 14-4 during their four-game unbeaten streak.
