Fall 2026 Tryouts
NEW YORK, NY - The Fall 2026 tryout Schedule is set! Are you looking to be part of Borough of Manhattan Community College Athletics Department in the sports of Cross Country, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer or Women's Volleyball? If so, see below for all of the information related to the upcoming tryout dates later this summer.
As always, a completed physical, signed and stamped by your doctor, must be on file with the athletic department prior to trying out. Completed physicals can be emailed to the Director of Athletics & Recreational Services,
Matthew Ruiz, at mruiz@bmcc.cuny.edu or dropped off in the Athletics Department (N255).
Cross Country, fresh off a NJCAA Region XV Men's Championship and appearance in the National Championships in Iowa, are looking to keep the momentum going into this season. Tryouts for Cross Country will be held on Friday, August 14th, at McCarren Park starting at 11am.
Men's Soccer, headed up by
Modou Seck who will be entering his 12th season atop the Panthers Men's Soccer program, is looking to rebound from last season which ended in a loss in the CUNY Championship game. Winners of the most CUNY Championships in Men's Soccer, BMCC is looking to get back to the top of the conference. Tryouts for Men's Soccer will be held at Red Hook Park starting on Monday, August 3rd, from 8am - 12pm.
Women's Soccer, will be in search of their 2nd CUNY Championship in 4 years, and looking to take another step in Region XV Play! Tryouts for Women's Soccer will be held on August 11th and August 12th, at Pier 40 starting at 9am on both days.
Women's Volleyball, will get their preseason underway with tryouts being held on the main campus of BMCC in the BMCC Gymnasium on Friday, August 21st, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Women's Volleyball which last won a CUNY Championship in 2022, will look to build off last years 7-3 record vs. CUNY competition in search of their next CUNY Championship.
