BMCC Homecoming Night

To celebrate CUNY Month, the Borough of Manhattan Community College Department of Athletics is holding their annual Homecoming Game on November 24^th. Come join us in BMCC Gymnasium to support the Men's and Women's Basketball teams as they take on their CUNYAC rivals, the Queensborough Tigers. The Lady Panthers are set to tip-off at 5:30 with the men's game to follow. There will be T-shirt giveaways, prizes, music, shooting contests, and more taking place throughout the night.

Three games into the season, the Women's team sits at 1-2 overall, with a 1-0 record in conference play. The Lady Panthers are led by Ashley Brooks, the freshman is averaging 9.7 points and 12.3 rebounds from the power forward position. Sophomore Ashley Duplan leads the team in scoring (10.3 ppg), while point guard Kiara Atkins manages the offense with 4.3 assists per game.

The Men's team has played 5 games thus far, and hold a 2-3 record. The Panthers have four players (Kenneth Coar, Brandon Williams, Matthew Boyd, and Joshua Armstrong) averaging double digits in scoring this season. Coar, a 2014-15 All-American, also leads the team in rebounding and blocks.

With the playoff implications of each conference game, the stage is set for a great matchup next Tuesday night. The event is free admission, so all Panthers fans come on out and show your support for BMCC Basketball.
