2nd Half Run Propels Panthers To Victory

New York, N.Y. – The BMCC Panthers defeated Region XV foe Dutchess Community College 75-59 on Saturday afternoon at the BMCC Athletic Center.

Akeem Williams led the Panthers with 13 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, his 4th double-double of the season. CUNYAC Community College Player of the Week, Brandon Herriot scored a game-high 19 points, on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. Michael Hussein scored 11 points and Tim Pandolfi added 10.

The Panthers (7-12, 2-4 CUNYAC) didn't take control of the game until midway through the 2nd half. With the game tied at 42 with 16:51 to-go, the Panthers went on a 27-7 run to pull ahead 69-49 with 6:05 left.

The Falcons (1-18) were led by Noah Morton's 19 points. Bryan Edwards scored 18 and Rolando Archie scored 17. As a team the Falcons shot 10-of-18 (55.6%) from 3-point land.

The Panthers return to action Thursday January 30th when the travel to Long Island to take on the Suffolk Sharks. Game-time is 7pm.
