New York, N.Y. - The BMCC Panthers defeated Bergen Community College 79-71 on Thursday night in a non-conference matchup played at the BMCC Gymnasium.

Joseph Ojo led the Panthers (6-10, 2-4) scoring attack with 20 points, on 7-of-12 shooting. Brandon Herriot chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Akeem Williams tallied his 3^rd double-double of the season with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

The Bulldogs (5-9) had a balanced scoring attack with four players in double figures, led by Ranier Garcia's 19 points.

The Panthers were able to overcome 25 turnovers by shooting 47.8% from the field and hitting 7-of-16 3-point attempts.

The Panthers return to action Saturday, January 18^th against another non-conference opponent, Raritan Valley Community College. Tip-off is at 12pm.
