Middletown N.Y. - The BMCC Panthers lost to the SUNY Orange Colts 85-73 Wednesday night.
The Panthers (2-3) trailed 47-31 at halftime but turned up the defensive intensity in the 2nd half and cut the Colts lead to 70-67 with 4:30 remaining in the game.
Freshman
Joseph Ojo continued his aggressive play leading the Panthers with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists. Sophomore
Brandon Herriot added 16 points and
Tim Pandolfi chipped in with 12 points.
Akeem Williams controlled the boards collecting 15 rebounds to go along with eight points.
After Ojo made a layup to bring the Panthers within 3, the Colts went on a 10-2 run to take an 11 point lead with just under 2 minutes remaining.
The Colts (3-2) were led by Anthony Bailey who scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
The Panthers return to action Saturday November 23 when they take on the Nassau Lions. Tip-off is 1:00pm.
