New York, NY -- The BMCC Panthers played host to the Kingsborough Wave in the 2012 CUNYAC play-in game. The 4th seeded Panthers (2-6 regular season conference record) were looking for their third win of the season against the Wave (1-7 regular season conference record) in hopes of advancing to play Bronx C.C. in the semifinals of the 2012 CUNYAC Community College Championships. The Panthers, led by freshman Chris Best (Brooklyn, NY) and his team high 20 points and 3 assists, were unable to complete the season sweep against Kingsborough. Trailing by a score of 35-33 at the half, the Panthers were never able to take over the lead, eventually falling to Kingsborough 72-58. The Wave who were paced by Darrell Robinson, with a game high 25 points and 6 assists, move on to versus the 1st ranked Bronx Broncos on Wednesday, February 15th in the semifinals of the 2012 CUNYAC/Con Edison Community College Championships.
