Panthers Fall to Nassau CC

Box Score
The BMCC Panthers came into today's matchup vs. the Lions of Nassau Community College looking to build off Tuesday's victory against QCC and push their record to over .500 on the season.  The Panthers came out strong defensively holding the Lions scoreless through the first 2 minutes of the game.  Early on the Panthers ran their offense through Valon Djombalic(Sophomore, Brooklyn, NY) as they looked to keep the game at a slow half-court pace which helped the Panthers secure a lead with approximately 14 minutes remaing in the first half.  BMCC kept the lead until their Sophomore floor general Christian Best(Brooklyn, NY) took an inadvertant headbutt to the mouth requiring him to come out the game and seek medical attention.  With Christian unable to return, fellow backcourt mate Taishaun Forehand-Jenkins(Sophomore, Brooklyn, NY) looked to step up in his place.  Taishaun led the Panthers in scoring on the day finishing with an impressive 22 points on 5-6 shooting from the field(3-3 from downtown) and 9-10 from the free-throw line accounting for 35% of the team's offensive output.  Unfortunately, the offensive prowess of Mr. Jenkins alone wasn't able to carry the Panthers over the Lions as BMCC fell to Nassau C.C. by a final score of 82-63.

With the loss, the Panthers drop to (2-3 overall, 1-0 conference) and will return to the court on Tuesday, December 4th in CUNYAC action against the Caimans of Hostos Community College as part of a road doubleheader.
