Panthers get back to their winning ways...Defeat QCC 62-53

Box Score
The BMCC Men's Basketball team played host to the Tigers of Queensborough Community College in hopes of ending their two-game losing streak.  Sophomore guard, Taishaun Forehand-Jenkins(Brooklyn, NY), had a strong day on the court for the Panthers leading BMCC in scoring with 15 points which included two 3-point field goals and 50% shooting from the field overall.  The offensive production was needed from the guard from Brooklyn as the Panthers leading scorer, Valon Djombalic(Sophomore, Brooklyn, NY) struggled from the field mustering up only 7 points on 2-8 shooting.  However, as with the rest of the Panthers, Valon didn't let any offensive struggles undermind their defensive effort.  The Panthers forced the Tigers into double-digit turnovers which included 6 steals from Christian Best(Sophomore, Brooklyn, NY).  On the boards was much of the same, as Valon garbbed 13 rebounds including 4 on the offensive end.  BMCC, who led by 5 at the half by a score of 32-27, pushed the lead into double-digits in the second half and closed out the Tigers with a 62-53 victory in front of a lively home crowd of 116.

With the win, the Panthers improve to (2-2 overall, 1-0 conference) and will next take the floor this Thursday, November 29th, at 7:30PM in a home match-up against the Lions of Nassau Community College!
