BMCC Men's Track and Field Competes At Lions Outdoor Invitational

Ewing, New Jersey - The BMCC men's track and field team headed across the river on Saturday morning for its final tune-up before the 2024 CUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Championship next week at the Lions Invitational, which was hosted by The College of New Jersey. The Panthers competed in seven events at the meet. 
 
The Panthers men's 4x100 relay team of Christian Davis (Queens, New York), Kwame Brempong (Brooklyn, New York)Dontate Creedland (Brooklyn, New York), and Joshua Germain (Brooklyn, New York) set a new season high with a time of 46.35 smashing their previous mark of 47.01 at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational which qualified them for nationals.
 
Three Panthers registered personal bests in the men's 100 meters, with Germain setting a new one and leading his squad with a time of 12.18. Davis also posted a time of 12.18, while Creedland and Brempong posted career bests, crossing the tape with times of 12.32 and 12.59. 

Davis posted a season-best finish with a time of 24.75 in the men's 200 meters, while Germain finished behind him with a time of 25.17, and Brempong recorded his second personal best of the meet coming through with a time of 25.98. CreedlandMichael Sing (Levittown, New York)and Charlie Hall (New York, New York) rounded it out of the Panthers, finishing with times of 26.19, 26.69, and 27.04.
 
Emmanuel Agyei (Brooklyn, New York) set a personal best in the men's 400 meters, crossing the line in 57.34. Sing, and Trent Santoro (Queens, New York) finished behind him in 59.69 and 1:00.89. 
 
Isiah Duffy (Brooklyn, New York) finished with a time of 1:05.13 in the men's 400-meter hurdles, while Santoro came across in the men's 800 meters with a time of 2:18.41. The Panthers 4x400 meter relay team of Agyei, Germain, Davis, and Duffy also finished with a time of 3:54.04.

The Panthers will look to make another statement in the CUNYAC Track and Field Championships, as they did during the winter season, when they lace up at the Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships next Saturday, May 4, at 9 a.m. at Icahn Stadium.
