NEW YORK, NY - BMCC started their 2026 Outdoor Season, very similar to their Indoor Season, with a meet hosted by Ramapo College and multiple Panthers qualifying for the 2026 NJCAA Div. III Track & Field National Championships.  The Panthers entered the meet with high expectations, that multiple student-athletes delivered on.

On the men's side, the Panthers were led by Torin Thomas (New York, New York) as the Sophomore qualified in the 200m with a time of 23.33 and was also part of the Men's 4x100m that also qualified for nationals.  Joining Thomas on the 4x100m team that recorded a time of 45.55 were Dashaun Simon (New York, New York), Gaury Peralta Valerio (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), and Dalton Ligon (New York, New York).   Thomas' 200m time was good for 14th overall in the meet, which was the top Junior College time, finishing behind only NCAA DII & DIII runners.  In the 4x100m relay, the Panthers once again finished as the fastest NJCAA team and 5th overall for the meet!

On the women's side, BMCC was paced by Kailey George (Brooklyn, New York) as she finished an impressive 9th overall in the women's 400m.  Her time of 1:04.16 was the 2nd fastest amongst NJCAA runners.  The time was also a full 2 seconds faster then her qualifying mark during the indoor season.

With the impressive showing, the Panthers now have 7 student-athletes that have qualified for Nationals!  The next meet for BMCC will be in Queens, NY, at the Queens Knights Invitational held on the campus on Queens College on Friday, April 10th.
