Panthers Finish Track & Field Season With Multiple Top 10 Finishes
NEW YORK, NY - BMCC went into the NJCAA Division III Track & Field National Championships looking to finish off a strong season. The Panthers accomplished that goal with several students recording top-10 finishes.
On the Men's side, the Panthers
Torin Thomas (New York, New York) medaled in the 400m with a time of 50.16 which was good for 4th overall in the country! Joining Torin on the mens side, were
Christopher Mckenzie (Queens, New York) in the Long Jump as well as two relay teams for the Panthers. Mckenzie finished the long jump 9th overall with a distance of 6.13m. For the relays, the Panthers placed 8th in the 4x400 and 9th in the 4x800.
On the Women's side, the Panthers
Kailey George (Brooklyn, New York) medaled in the 400m with a time of 1:04.24 which was good for 7th overall in the country. The 7th place national finish is the highest ever for a female student-athlete at BMCC.
With the impressive showings, the Panthers finished the 2026 season 16th in the country on the Men's side and 24th in the country on the Women's side!
