New York, New York | The Borough of Manhattan Department of Athletics has released the baseball schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 campaign.
The 24-game slate includes 12 home contests (with two double-headers- one CUNYAC and one regional) and 12 road games (with four double-headers- two CUNYAC and two regional). Ballpark locations and starting times of all games will be posted on the BMCC Baseball Schedule Page, with frequent updates throughout the season.
The BMCC baseball season begins its sixth season under head coach Jonathon Ramos with a four-game set against defending CUNYAC champion Bronx Community College (single games at home on Tuesday, March 17 and Friday, March 20, and a double-header at the Broncos on March 21).
The Panthers follow that up with another 4-game battle against CUNYAC foe Kingsborough (single games at home on Tuesday, March 24 and Friday, March 27, and a double-header at the Wave on March 28), before closing out the month of March with a single away game meeting with Regional opponent with Suffolk County Community College on March 31.
BMCC opens the month of April with a double-header against Regional foe Suffolk County Community College on Saturday, April 4, before taking on Queensborough Community College for a four-game duel in CUNYAC action (single games on the road on Tuesday, April 14 and Friday, April 17, and a double-header at Padavan-Preller Complex on April 18). The Panthers end the month of the April with a four-game set against Nassau Community College (single games at home on Tuesday, April 21 and Friday, April 24, and a double-header in Garden City, New York on April 25), and with a single game meeting against Monroe College in late April on Tuesday, April 28.
They host the Express for another single home game to open the Month of May on Friday, May 1 at Padavan-Preller Complex versus the Express, before closing out their 2020 season on the road with a double-header in the Bronx on Saturday, May 2 against Monroe College.
Twenty-two of the Panther's 24 regular-season games will begin at 4:00 p.m. and noon and 2 p.m. for double-headers, while the first pitch for both their single-game matchups on the road against Queensborough will be at 3:30 p.m. The CUNYAC title game is set for Wednesday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m., and will feature the two conference teams with the most wins within the CUNY. The NJCAA Division III Region XV Championship Tournament games will begin May 7 and continue through May 9.
The Panthers return a pair of sophomore utility players in Prospero Perez (Bronx, NY) and Maxwell Jimenez (Dominican Republic). Perez led all Panther players last season in home runs (2) and tying for the team lead in doubles (3), while his RBIs (8) were tied for second. He also started 18 of In 19 games for BMCC a year ago, the Bronx native started 18 games (starting one at Pitcher against Nassau C.C.) and racked up 12 singles while posting a .250 batting average and .438 slugging percentage and striking out four in three appearances.
Jimenez made 17 starts in 18 games last season and tied for third on the BMCC with six while collecting 12 singles, a double, and a home run with a .286 batting average and .381 slugging percentage.

The athletic program at Borough of Manhattan Community College encompasses a total of six varsity teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
