New York, New York | The City University of New York Athletic Conference announced the 2019 Community College women's volleyball all-star selections on Wednesday, and Sophomore Nolverys Fernandez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) earned CUNYAC All-Star honors.
Fernandez spearheaded the Panthers offensive attack this season with team-highs in kills and service aces with 177 and 49, while also leading the defense with 242 digs. She was tops on the team six double-digit kill games and tied first with six double-doubles, while registering single-game bests in digs, kills, and service aces with 29, 26, and 10 respectively this year.
She moved past Thelma Torres for first all-time in school history with 311 career digs last week and currently has 346, while her 219 career kills and 84 career service aces are seventh and six all-time in program history.
