New York, New York - The BMCC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team continued to impress on Saturday at Icahn Stadium during their inaugural 2024 season, staking their claim with a program-defining performance at the CUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships racking up six total medals with four from their men's team and two from their women.
Freshman Lea Reimer (Paderborn, Germany) was the lead story from the Panthers women's program on the day, grabbing her fourth individual CUNYAC Championship with a first-place finish and medaling in the women's 10,000 meters with a time of 45:04.48. Reimer became the first Panther runner in school history to take home the Individual Community College Cross Country Crown in the fall, then followed that performance up in the winter during the outdoor season, earning two medals for first-place finishes in the women's mile and 3000 meters with times of 5:55.59 and 12:26.51 at the 2024 CUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
