Milton, New York - BMCC women's cross country sophomore Lea Reimer (Paderborn, Germany) continued her dominance at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome, posting her second career top-five finish, coming across the tape in fifth out of 40 runners from NCAA and NJCAA institutions on Sunday morning at the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational. Reimer crossed the finish line with a time of 28:50.4 in the women's 6K for her sixth career top-five finish as a member of the Panthers Cross Country and Track and Field program.
Reimer will look to pick up her second straight Region 15 medal at next week's Championship after medaling in the event last year with a top 50 finish among NCAA and Two-Year runners. Reimer also set a new women's school record in the 5K last year with a time of 22:41.
The Panthers suit up for the 2024 Region XV Championship next Saturday, October 19, at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph's Cross Country Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, New York. For more information, visit the BMCC Women's Cross Country Schedule Page.
