Bronx, New York – After
putting together a program-defining performance in the 2023 Region 15 Championships, the BMCC men's cross country team a week ago the BMCC cross country program etched another moment into the record books with two top five finishes as freshman Amil Bermejo (Brooklyn, New York) posted a runner-up finish and sophomore
Trent Santoro crossed the finish line in fourth in the 8K at the Medgar Evers College Legacy Invitational in the Bronx, New York. The men's and women's squads competed against 11 other teams at Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday morning.
Bermejo set another Panthers men's cross country school record with a career and program-best sixth-place finish. He also set a personal career high with a time of 33:19.70. Santoro also posted his best career finish of ninth place and crossed the finish line with a time of 34:26.90.
Freshman
Weerlens Valmont and sophomore
Michael Sing (Brooklyn, New York) posted career-best finishes in 33rd and 36th, with Valmont also coming through with a career-high finish of 40:23.40 while Sing finished with a time of 42:51.90.
