New York, New York – The Borough of Manhattan College Esports program had a solid finish during the final week of the 2022 Spring Regular season. All four Panther teams closed out the regular season with three of the four grabbing victories last week, with Smash Brothers Ultimate's (One-on-One) Ryan Urena clinching the only playoff spot from Group 12.

Rocket League's Kevin Dominguez, Michael Sing, and Victor Paulino Angeles recorded back-to-back victories with a 3-1 win over Northwestern Michigan College. The Panthers conclude their season with a 5-4 record overall and a fourth-place finish in Group 1. BMCC spotted Northwest Michigan College three of the first four goals in the first game before the Panthers put together a ferocious rally with three straight goals, with 38 seconds remaining and getting the insurance tally 13 seconds later to take Game 1 5-3.

After getting shutout in Game 2 3-0, the Panthers came out guns blazing in Game 3 with the first four goals and scored the final two to go up 2-1 in the match. The Panthers netted the first three goals of Game 4 before Northwest Michigan College rallied to score three consecutive goals tying it at three with 1:05 remaining before BMCC notched the game-winner with 35 seconds left to take the match 3-1.

FIFA 2022 and Madden 22 individual player Edwin Lema (Queens, NY) won both of his matchups via forfeit, finishing 7-2 on the year in FIFA Group 1, just missing the playoffs by one spot in third and 4-5 in Madden Group 1 for a sixth-place finish.

Super Smash Brothers Ultimate's (One-on-One) Urena's four-game winning streak was upended in a 1 vs. 2 matchup against Mott Community College in three straight games. Urena finishes the regular season with a 7-2 record and second in Group 12 and will take on Lincoln Land Community College on April 19 at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the playoffs. Ivan Minaya (New York, NY) dropped his final game of the season against Heartland Community College, concluding competition in Group 15 with a 6-3 record and a fifth-place finish.
