Bronx, New York – After grabbing Region 15 accolades two weeks ago, BMCC men's cross country freshman runner
Trent Santoro and his other two teammates, captain
Tatenda Chikanyairo and
Christian Maldonado (New York, New York), closed out the Panther's inaugural season on a high note recording the best finishes of their careers in the 8K in the 2022 CUNYAC Cross Country Championships on Sunday morning at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
Santoro got out of the gate quickly amongst a competitive field of 74 runners and led all Panther runners with a career-best 16th place finish as he crossed the tape with a time of 32:38.3.
Chikanyairo and
Maldonado also put up their best finishes of the season as clocking in at 30th place and 43rd with times of 36:44.9 and 38:40.1
