New York, New York - The Borough of Manhattan Community College Esports program will be taking part in a nationally broadcasted match on Thursday, March 25. Before the match, the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE), in partnership with Army National Guard, will host a panel at 8 p.m. via zoom focusing on the hot topics in collegiate esports. Our Rocket League match against Lackawanna College will be aired live immediately after on the NJCAAE Twitch page at 9 p.m.

A Closer Look At Both Squads
The Panther's Rocket League team and Lackawanna College are gridlocked for second place in the 2021 NJCAAE Group 1 standings, with both team's losses coming against top-seeded Hudson Valley Community College. BMCC comes in with a two-game winning streak, while the Falcons have won four straight since dropping their opener to Hudson Valley.

The Lackawanna College Rocket League is no stranger to the bright lights, participating in the Maui Esports Invitational on ESPNU last November during the Fall 2020 season. The Falcons have continued to be a presence in Rocket League, coming in on a four-game winning streak sweeping three of the four and dominating Alexandra Technical Community College 4-1 two weeks ago on Mar. 11.
The Borough of Manhattan Community College launched its inaugural esports program during this spring semester. The College currently participates in six esports titles – Rocket League, Overwatch, Valorant, Fortnite, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Call of Duty (Warzone and Cold War), FIFA 21, and NBA2K21.
