New York, New York – After the sixth week of NJCAA competition, the Borough of Manhattan Community College Esports program has established itself atop the standings while other teams and individuals are still in striking distance for a playoff position. The Panther's Call of Duty Cold War squad dominated to remain a perfect 5-0 on the year, and Rocket League cruised to back-to-back victories to stay tied for second in their tuneup before their primetime matchup this week.

Raheem Redway (Yonkers, NY) ended the week with a solid 2-0 victory against Hudson Valley Community College and tied for the top spot with Carl Albert State College in their group. The Panther Rocket League team Dakarie Downie (Brooklyn, NY), Kevin Martinez (Brooklyn, NY), and Jonathan Colvin (New York, NY) finally got to test their metal with their first live matchup in several weeks and didn't disappoint coasting, 4-0 against Rockland Community College. They will get a chance to show their skills to the entire country with a primetime matchup this Thursday, March 25, at 9 p.m. against Lackawanna College.
NBA2K21's Caleb Miller (Brooklyn, NY) came back strong off the bye week Thursday night, for his third victory of the season against Northern Essex Community College, 2-0. The win keeps him locked in for the final playoff slot in Group 1 of the NJCAA Esports NBA2K21 spring season going into another bye week. Thomas will look to get back in the win column this Thursday, March 25, at 6 p.m. against Gogebic Community College.
The BMCC Overwatch team Farouk Abdel Rahman (Queens, NY), Randy Arias (Bronx, NY), Derek Andrews (Brooklyn, NY), Marcial Garcia (Bronx, NY), Nathalie Morales (Brooklyn, NY), Travis Rosado (Brooklyn, NY), Bryan Vallejos (New York, NY), and Ivan Minaya (New York, NY) competed in a doubleheader on Monday after Lincoln Land Community College rescheduled last week's match on March 5. They split by defeating Harrisburg Area Community College, 3-2 and falling to top-ranked Lincoln Land C.C., 3-0. The Panthers will look to hold on to one of four playoff spots in the group against another contender, Carl Albert State College, this Monday, March 22, at 5 p.m.
Valorant's Imran Muhammad (Bronx, NY), Julio Lozano (Bronx, NY), Justin Too (New York, NY), Ryan Castro (Bronx, NY), Umair Irshad (Brooklyn, NY), Abel Sanchez (Bronx, NY), and Vasquez got their mojo back with a complete performance trouncing Eastern Arizona college, 13-4. They will look to keep it on that dial this Friday, March 26, at 7 p.m. against Bergen County Community College.
In other Individual competitions, Abu Sakil (Bronx, NY) was bested 2-0 against Crowder College, and Jonathan Wegter (Brooklyn, NY) and Minaya were both defeated by a score of 4-1 against Irvine Valley College. Sakil looks to get back to .500 this Tuesday, March 23th, at 6 p.m. against Crowder College, while Wegter takes on Hawkeye Community College and Abel Perez (Bronx, NY) returns off a bye to take on Salt Lake Community College Tuesday, March 23 at 5 p.m.
