FLUSHING, N.Y. (Feb. 9, 2019) - The bracket is officially set for the 2018-19 CUNYAC Community College Women's Basketball Championship, following the conclusion of league play this past week.

The tournament is set to be played at BMCC Gymnasium, with semifinal action getting underway on Monday (Feb. 11). The final is slated for Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. and will be broadcasted worldwide on Facebook Live. You can order your tickets now by clicking here.

Defending national champion and No. 2 nationally-ranked Hostos headlines the field for the third year in a row. The Caimans, who have not dropped a regular-season conference game in three years, went a perfect 8-0 in CUNYAC play this season to extend their unbeaten streak against league opponents to 26 straight games.

In that eight-win stretch, Hostos outscored its opposition by a startling average of 49.75 points per game. Of the Caimans' five losses this season, three of them came against an NJCAA Division I opponent. Only one defeat occurred at the hands of a fellow Division III program. Additionally, Hostos is unbeaten in NJCAA Region XV this year.

Queensborough enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed. Under first-year head coach Camille Romero, the Tigers won five of their first six conference games and finished with a league record of 5-3. It is Queensborough's first season with a winning conference record since 2014-15 -- a year that saw the Tigers claim the league's regular-season title.

BMCC, which secured the No. 3 seed, will look to return to the CUNYAC final for a third-consecutive year. The Panthers last hoisted the conference hardware in 2013.

Queensborough and BMCC split their regular-season meetings, with each team taking a game on the road. The Tigers held on for a 46-38 victory in their conference opener on Nov. 20, while the Panthers were a 20-point victor (56-36) in Bayside on Feb. 5.

Hostos will match up with No. 4 seed Kingsborough in Monday's first semifinal at 6 p.m. While the Wave came away with league wins against Bronx and BMCC this season, the Caimans topped Kingsborough in decisive fashion in both regular-season contests (91-28 on Nov. 15; 91-43 on Jan. 29).
