New York, NY | Following the conclusion of the 2018 season, the NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Committee released the
list of All-Americans. BMCC Panthers' own
Daouda Coulibaly (Bronx, NY) earned a spot on the All-American Second Team, ranking him among the top 22 players in NJCAA Division III.
With 80 schools competing in men's soccer at the Division III level, the Panthers midfielder finished among the top seven players at his position after a phenomenal season. Coulibaly also helped lead the Panthers to a second-straight undefeated regular-season conference mark (3-0) and a fifth-consecutive appearance in the CUNYAC Championship in 2018.
Coulibaly named a 2018 CUNYAC All-Star back in October and the 2016 CUNYAC Championship MVP, is the 10th All-American in the Panther's program's history and their second in as many years (
Brando Guzman - 2017).Â
Coulibaly compiled an impressive resume during his sophomore campaign, scoring both goals in a 2-1 victory over Bronx Community College, while picking up a hat trick with three goals against Dutchess, and provided the game-tying goal in the final minutes of regulation in the Panthers regional playoff match. He also was the Panther's second-leading scorer averaging a goal per game through eight games this season and racking up 17 points during the 2018 campaign.Â
