Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 New York, NY | The Lady Panthers volleyball team entered Saturday's doubleheader riding a four match win streak. After claiming a four set victory over Westchester, BMCC stumbled against the Rockland Hawks in a five-set defeat.

In the first match the BMCC team was led on offense by Stela Vaso (11 kills) and Jennifer Chacon (21 assists). With contributions coming from players up and down the roster, the Lady Panthers comfortably pulled away from their opponents as the match went on (25-19, 21-25, 25-14, 25-9).

The next match against the Rockland Hawks would determine seeding for the Region XV Tournament opening round, and both teams knew it. Four of the five sets were decided by a narrow margin of 3 or fewer points, but ultimately the Hawks would sneak away with a 15-12 win in the final set to jump ahead of the Lady Panthers in the Region XV tournament seeding. Once again Vaso led the way with 13 kills and freshman Sara Lazo added on with 12 kills and a team high 5 aces. Sophomore Damali Prince contributed with three service aces to go along with her three solo blocks.

BMCC will be back in action on Monday when they take on the Kingsborough Wave in the CUNYAC Tournament Semifinals. The Lady Panthers match is set to begin at 6 pm, for a full CUNYAC Tournament preview, click here.
