New York, New York - Your BMCC Panthers women's volleyball team returned to the win column in impressive fashion, defeating the Hostos Community College Caimans 3-1 to snap a six-game losing streak. With the victory, the Panthers defeated the Caimans for the second time this season; completing the regular season sweep.  BMCC came out strong in the opening set, jumping out to an early 11-6 lead and maintaining control the rest of the way to secure a 25-20 win. The Panthers carried that momentum into the second set, highlighted by strong attacks from Wilyne Lincifort (Roosevelt, New York) and Harony Frias (Queens, New York). Their offensive attack proved too much for Hostos, as BMCC cruised to a convincing 25-13 set victory to take a commanding 2-0 lead.  Hostos responded in the third set, battling back after falling behind 13-8. The Caimans fought their way back into the match and edged the Panthers 26-24 to force a fourth set.  With the match still on the line, BMCC regrouped and cleaned up its play in the fourth set. The Panthers regained control from the start, putting together a dominant performance to close out the match with a decisive 25-12 victory and secure the 3-1 win.

The victory marks an important step forward for the Panthers, who showed resilience and determination in snapping their losing streak and earning their second win of the season over Hostos.
