New York, NY | The men's basketball team took on the Hostos Caimans at BMCC gymnasium on Saturday afternoon with a chance to pick up their fourth win in the CUNY Athletic Conference. But the Hostos offense would catch fire in the final ten minutes allowing the Caimans to go on a 30-8 run to defeat the Panthers 100-91.
Four players from BMCC finished the game with double-digit scoring totals, with
Jason Mejia leading the pack after going 8-for-19 on his way to a team-high 27 points.
Terrell Fullerton nearly had a triple-double with 23 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds, while his teammate
Jericho Cherisma ended his night with 10 points and 24 rebounds. Freshman guard
Anthony McClean shot an efficient 8-for-12 for 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Panthers.
The Panthers will look to rebound from this loss in their next matchup when they take on the Bronx Broncos on Tuesday.
