Loch Sheldrake, NY | Coming off of their overtime win last Tuesday, the men's basketball team would be looking to carry their momentum into their weekend matchup against the nationally ranked Sullivan County Generals. After falling behind early, the Panthers rallied back from an 18 point first half deficit to knock of the #7 team in the nation by a final score of 80-72.
The Panthers managed to cut the lead to just 6 points at the half, and they picked up right where they left off when the second half began. Led by
Terrell Fullerton and
Jason Mejia, BMCC outscored Sullivan 48-34 in the second half to close out their third consecutive win. Fullerton finished the game with 31 after going 9-for-18 from the field and 11-14 from the free throw line, while Mejia racked up 18 points, including a pair of three-pointers in the second half comeback. Sophomore
Jericho Cherisma continues to fill the stat sheet this season, the forward dominated on both sides of the ball as he tallied 6 points, 16 rebounds, 8 blocks, and 4 steals in the win.
The Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Suffern, NY to take on the Rockland Hawks at 8pm.
