Men's Soccer Win Season Opener

The BMCC Men's Soccer team started the 2012 campaign with an impressive road victory against Queensborough Community College. The Panthers controlled the tempo of the game from the beginning with aggressive attacking of the ball and broke a scoreless tie in the 31st minute when sophomore Klaudio Shala broke away from the defenders for his first goal of the game. The Panthers added to their lead when freshman Maximiliam Mansfield found Klaudio Shala for his second goal of the game in 39th minute. The Panthers remained aggressive defensively behind the strong play of freshman defender Brandon Baird and freshman goalie Irvin Barreto.

The Panthers will now look to build upon the season opening victory when they next take the field in a road game against Suffolk Community College on September 12th.
