Lady Panthers Pull Away From Kingsborough

Box Score
The Lady Panthers went into Wednesday's match-up vs. the Wave of Kingsborough Community College looking to end their one game losing streak, after falling on the road to Rockland in their last game, while also looking to stay undefeated in conference action and remain atop the CUNYAC standings.  The game started off in typical CUNYAC fashion as both teams traded buckets throughout the first half keeping the score close.  BMCC behind the play of Emani Odom(Freshman, New York, NY) and Aiyana Harris(Sophomore, Brooklyn, NY), both of whom ended with a game-high 16 points, took a 31-26 lead into the half.  The second half started similar to the first with both teams trading baskets as the score stood at 35-30 Panthers with 17:36 remaining in the game.  However, over the next 13 minutes the Lady Panthers would go on a 28-9 run and push their lead to 65-39 with 4:30 remaining in the game.  As the Panthers emptied their bench all that was to be determined was whether or not Emani Odom would record her first ever triple-double as a Panther needing only a rebound to obtain this achievement.  After Kingsborough miss-fired on their next possession, Emani grabbed the rebound finishing out the game with 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in route to a Panthers 69-42 blowout victory.

With the win, the Panthers improve to (5-2 overall, 3-0 conference) and will next be in action this Saturday, December 15th at 3pm in a CUNYAC road battle against the Broncos of Bronx Community College.
