Lady Panthers Sweep Double Dual

The BMCC Lady Panthers went on the road to the campus of Kingsborough Community College in an attempt to sweep away an inter-conference double dual vs. the Broncos of Bronx Community College and the Caimans of Hostos Community College and continue their climb up the CUNYAC and Region XV standings. In the first match the Panthers squared off against Bronx Community College in a rematch from earlier this year which saw the Panthers defeat the Broncos 3-1(19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-15). The Lady Panthers behind the 28 assists of Medina Lukolic(Sophomore, New York, NY) and 11 kills of Kate Russell(Freshman, Buffalo, NY) were able to once again defeat the Broncos this time by a score of 3-0(25-22, 25-23, 27-25). With one win in hand the Panthers were looking to exact some revenge on Hostos Community College which previously defeated the Panthers 3-1(20-25, 20-25, 25-14, 22-25) earlier this season at BMCC. This time around the results would be different. Behind another 28 assists from Medina Lukolic and 10 kills a piece from Kate Russell and Brianna Montana(Freshman, Brooklyn, NY) the Panthers defeated the Caimans 3-1(25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 25-14). With the win the Lady Panthers improved to (5-8 overall, 4-3 conference) and climbed into 3rd place in the CUNY standings.

The Lady Panthers will next take the court on the road this Thursday, October 18th at 7pm vs. the first place Wave of Kingsborough Community College in a CUNY Conference tilt.
