New York, New York - The BMCC men's and women's track and field program opened up the 2025 Indoor Season with an impressive showing at the Ramapo College Opener at the New Balance Armory on Friday morning.
The Panthers men's and women's programs competed in 7 events on the day, with freshman Christopher Mckenzie (Queens, New York) posting the best finish on the day, as the top JUCO finisher and overall 9th place finish in the Men's long jump with a distance of 6.67m.
Mckenzie's finish qualified him for the NJCAA DIII Track and Field Championships. Christopher also finished as the top finishing Panther in both the 60m and 200m with times of 7.53 and 24.19, respectively.
Wesley Pierre-Louis (Brooklyn, New York) also competed in the 60 meters, finishing with a time of 7.74.
Chantel Shuler (New York, New York) was the sole Lady Panther to compete, finishing with a time of 1:18.00 in the 400m and 3:34.75 in the 800m.
The Panthers return to the track in two weeks on Friday, January 31st, at the Scarlet Night Open at the New Balance Armory in New York, New York.
