New York, New York – After the men's and women's cross country programs reached new heights in their second season, the Panthers are hungry for more in year three as they released their upcoming 2024 schedule on Friday. The Panther's Cross Country program begins its third season with five meets, kicking things off on September 13th at the Brother John Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

The women will compete in the 5K and the men in the 8K circuit. BMCC closes out the month of September at the St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational on September 21st at Sunken Meadow Park in Kings Park, New York, and then the following Sunday, September 28th, in the Garden State at the Caldwell Cougar Chase Invite at Sayreville Sports Complex, Sayreville, New Jersey.

The Panthers will compete in just two meets the following month, suiting up across the river for the second straight meet in the NJIT Highlander Cross Country Challenge on October 12th at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey, before concluding the regular season at the Region XV Championship at the St. Joseph's Invitational on October 19th back at Sunken Meadow Park in Kings Park, New York.

The Panthers return the program's first-ever CUNYAC Cross Country Community College Individual Champion and USTFCCCA All-American (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) selection, Lea Reimer (Paderborn, Germany). Reimer posted two top ten finishes last season with a second and 10th place finish in the 2023 CUNYAC Cross Country Championships and at the Mt. St. Mary Invitational in her Collegiate debut while also being named the program's first-ever NJCAA Division III Runner of the Week honor for her efforts.

Preseason tryouts start on Saturday, August 24th, and finish on Sunday, August 25th. Both tryouts will be held at 11 a.m. at McCarren Park in Brooklyn, New York. For more information, click here.
