Bellerose, New York - The BMCC baseball team was upended in their final Region 15 doubleheader of the season, 13-3 and 11-0, against Nassau Community College on Saturday afternoon at Padavan-Preller Complex. The Lions improve to 16-10 (15-8 Region XV) with both wins, while the Panthers finish their season at 2-21 (2-21 Region XV).
Prior to the first, the BMCC baseball program paid tribute to its seven graduating sophomores, Peter Marino (New York, New York), Joel Gomez (Bronx, New York), Peter Rodriguez Reyes (Bronx, New York), Jeffrey Roldan (New York, New York), Kazuki Russo (Queens, New York), and Conall Moore (New York, New York).

Sophomore Peter Marino (New York, New York), who also took the hill for the Panthers in game one, registered BMCC's only hit on a lead-off double in the bottom of the third inning while stealing a game-high three bases and scoring a team-high two runs.
Marino moved alone into third all-time in career steals with 30, and his team-leading 22 steals were also third most in a single season, surpassing his former teammate Frank Reyes's marks of 29 career steals and 20 steals from 2023.
Freshmen Wiljer Casana (Miami, Florida) and Nassaiah Flores (Bronx, NY) also stole a base in the contest.
Sophomore Peter Rodriguez Reyes (Bronx, New York) led the Panthers with four putouts on defense.
Joseph Lynn pitched a gem on the hill for his second win of the season for Nassau Community College, allowing three runs (none earned) and one hit and a walk while striking out a game-high seven batters. Marino took the loss, allowing 10 runs (six earned) with three walks and a strikeout. Marino finishes his career third all-time with 46 career strikeouts while his team-best 29 strikeouts are tied for fifth most in a single season with Brandon Torres.

Sophomore Adonis Suarez (Queens, New York) grabbed the Panther's only hit in the contest in the bottom of the third, while classmate Peter Marino (New York, New York) led the Panthers on defense with a career-high six putouts.
Tommy Gorham pitched a five-inning shutout, allowing a hit and a walk while fanning a game-best nine batters. Sophomore Jeffrey Roldan (New York, New York) took the loss, giving up 10 runs (nine earned) on 11 hits with two walks.
