Fonseca retired the Panthers in order in the top of the first before the Wave got their offensive going with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Aldo Thomas led off with a single and stole second, then Bryan Lopez drew a walk on four consecutive pitches to have two aboard for Kingsborough.
Jimenez would throw out Thomas at third, but Lopez would steal second, advance to third, and come across when Nicholas Piazza grounded into a fielders choice to make it 1-0. Piazza would move to second on an error by freshman Jeffrey Roldan (New York, New York), then steal this before coming home on a Justin Ramsey RBI single to make it 2-0. The Panthers got out a jam when
Jimenez threw out his second batter on the afternoon, and Fonseca popped out to end the inning.
Fonseca struck out three of the four Panthers batters he faced in the top of the second, allowing one hit on a
Jimenez single. The Wave would bat around the order posting six runs in the bottom of the inning Thomas Laino got things started in the bottom of the second for Kingsborough C.C. with a leadoff walk, then found himself 90 feet away from home plate when he advanced on a passed ball and wild pitch. Laino would cross home plate for the third Wave run after Robert Lay hit into a fielders choice, then Lopez connected for a two-run single, and Fonseca walked in to make it 6-0. Laino would uncork a two-run double to cap off the scoring in the inning, extending the Wave advantage to 8-0.

The Wave exploded for another nine runs and batted around their order for the second straight inning to extend their lead to 17-0. After
Roldan got a quick groundout, Thomas singled to right field, then stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and crossed home in the same manner to make it 9-0. Fonseca and Laino connected on back-to-back home runs on a three-run shot and a solo blast to stretch the lead to 14-0 before Thomas recorded a sacrifice fly RBI, and Lopez ripped a two-run triple to make it 17-0 after three.
After the Panthers went down 1-2-3 in the top of the fourth, the Wave added three more runs in the bottom of the inning on an error from sophomore
Frank Reyes (Brooklyn, New York) and a two-run double from Benjamin Luciano to make it 20-0 then added one more run in the bottom of the fifth on a Piazza sacrifice fly RBI and two more in the bottom of the sixth on a Thomas RBI triple and Lopez sacrifice fly RBI to make it 23-0.
In the top of the seventh, the Panthers were finally able to get some runners aboard as
Rodriguez-Reyes reached on an error while Suarez and Ramirez both smacked singles to load up the bases. Reyes would be beamed by a pitch allowing Rodriguez-Reyes to score BMCC's only run before Kingsborough ended the game, getting freshman Peter Marino (New York, New York) to ground into a double play sealing the 23-1 win.
