Seldon, New York - The Borough of Manhattan Community College men's basketball team dropped a Region 15 contest to Suffolk, 79-64, on Saturday afternoon in Ammerman Campus.
The Panthers battled hard in the first half trailing the Sharks 41-32 at halftime. However, Suffolk outscored BMCC 38-32 in the second half, taking the contest 79-64.
Three Panthers scored in double figures, led by Sophomore
William Brown (Brooklyn, New York), who dropped a team-high 17 points and three three-pointers, while freshmen
Jeremiah Cardi (New York, New York) and
Jahlil Kearney (Saint Albans, New York) had 12 points apiece. Underclassman
Spencer Barnes (Bronx, New York) hauled down a game-high 10 rebounds in the contest.
Julius Goodard led all Sharks in scoring with a game-high 24 points and grabbed a team-best eight boards. AJ Knight Jr. had 16 points, and Gaetham Fils-Alme came off the bench to score 15 points for Suffolk County Community College.
The Panthers are back on the court this Tuesday, February 8, against Conference foe Hostos Community College at 8 p.m. from the Swamp in the Bronx.
