Lady Panthers Can't Find The Offense, Fall To Suffolk

Box Score The BMCC Lady Panthers lost 41-25 to the Suffolk Lady Sharks Tuesday night, in the NJCAA Region XV quarter-finals.

The Lady Panthers were on a hot streak coming into the regionals, having won 5 of their last 6 games, including the 7th CUNY Championship in school history.  The offense never got going for the Lady Panthers. Both teams struggled out of the gate but with the game tied at 6 at the 10:17 mark the Lady Sharks went on a 13-4 run to end the half with a 19-10 lead.

Region XV First Team All-Star, Denea Fleary led the Lady Panthers with eight points and six rebounds. Freshman Elesha Dieudonne had five points and 12 rebounds, her fourteenth consecutive game double-digit rebound performance. As a team they shot 13% from the field and went 0-26 from 3-point land.

The Lady Panthers finished the season 16-11 the best mark in almost decade.
