Lady Panthers Drop First Game of the Season

Box Score
The Lady Panthers entered today's game looking to improve their record to 4-0 overall and secure their third regional victory on the season against the Vikings of Westchester Community College.  The Panthers got off to a sluggish start registering nearly as many turnovers as points in the 1st half.  The Vikings, who were led by the play of Emonni Cropper as she finished with a game-high 21 points on 9-17 shooting, took a 33-18 lead into the break.  The Panthers started the second half like a house on fire and battled back behind the strong play of Elesha Dieudonne(Freshman, Brooklyn, NY) and Gabrielle Alleyne(Sophomore, Brooklyn, NY) to cut the deficit to 46-44 forcing the Vikings to call a timeout.  After the timeout, the Vikings ratcheted up their defense forcing the Panthers into costly turnovers and finished the game on a 27-7 run for a 73-51 victory.  Despite the loss, Elesha Dieudonne had another strong game in the paint for BMCC finishing with 12 points and 17 rebounds(including 7 on the offensive end) for her second consecutive double-double.
