After the Panthers were retired in order in the bottom of the first, Kingsborough would add two more runs in the top of the second on Yoskar Guzman's two-run double to left field to make it 5-0.

The Panthers got off to a strong start in the bottom of the second. Marra grabbed a lead-off single off of a six-pitch at-bat, and Flores drew a walk on four consecutive pitches to put two aboard with no outs. Venditti would balk, advancing  Marra and Flores to second and third, but Venditti would strike out the last three batters to keep BMCC off the scoreboard and keep the score 5-0. The Wave would put the game out of reach in the top of the third with four runs on a Jeter Martinez two-run single, a Danny McLaughlin RBI single, and a sacrifice fly RBI by Guzman to make it 9-0.

BMCC went down in order, keeping it 9-1 going into the top of the fourth. After Kingsborough got two runs in the top of the inning BMCC had their best inning of the day in the bottom of the fourth with three runs to cut the deficit to 11-4.
