New York, New York – The BMCC women's volleyball team fell to Region 15 opponent Fashion Institute of Technology in straight sets on Thursday evening. The Panthers drop to 1-3 (1-2 Region XV) while the Tigers move to 2-3 (2-0 Region XV).
 
The Panthers were led offensively by freshman Sarah Sellami (Queens, New York), who smashed a game-high tied six kills, while classmate Silvia Chen (New York, New York) distributed a game-high 12 assists. Freshman Keyanna Irving (Queens, New York) also recorded five kills, while sophomore Cheyenne Gray-Taitt (Harlem, New York) had four.  
 
Sophomore Garyana Altidor (Queens, New York) led the defense with three digs, while Sellami had a solo block. 
 
Mary-Margaret Griffi led the Tigers offense with a game-best tied six kills and defensively with a game-best six digs, while Lydia Tung placed a game-high 11 service aces and handed out a team-high 11 assists.
