New York, New York – On Tuesday, the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announced its 2022 Community College Baseball All-Stars, and BMCC had two individuals honored. Freshmen Frank Reyes (Brooklyn, New York) and Abdel Raheem Dolah (Brooklyn, New York) both received CUNYAC All-Star accolades, while Reyes was also selected to the CUNYAC Sportsmanship team. The honors were the first for both players and the fourth time in program history that the Panthers have had two All-Star selections.

Andys Ventura and Aidan Blum garnered CUNYAC All-Star honors in 2019, and this was the second time in program history that BMCC had two players do it in back-to-back seasons since 2015 and 2016.

Reyes spearheaded the offensive attack for BMCC this season, leading the squad in four offensive categories and tying in another. The Brooklyn native was tops on the Panthers in batting average (.364), hits (16), runs scored (11), and doubles (4), and tying for first in multi-hit games with four for the season. The Brooklyn native also ranked second in slugging percentage (.455) and steals (9).

He also recorded a season-high two doubles and two steals against Nassau Community College on April 21.

Raheem Dolah led BMCC in three offensive categories and struck out a team-best 19 batters during the 2022 season. In addition, the Brooklyn native was tops on the Panthers this season in slugging percentage (.578), RBIs (9), home runs (2), and triples (2) while tying for another with 10 steals. During the 2022 season, Dolah also led the team with three multi-RBI games, recorded three RBIs a season-high two times, and tied for a team-best with four multi-hit games while ending the season on a two-game hitting streak. He also had two bases in three games this season and finished with three steals during a season-ending doubleheader against Monroe-Bronx on April 30.

Raheem Dolah also finished the season second on the team with 15 hits and tied for another with 10 runs scored.
