Paterson, New Jersey - The BMCC women's basketball team got topped 93-21 on the road against Passaic County Community College in Paterson, New Jersey. PCCC remains a perfect 7-0 on the season, while the Panthers drop to 1-5 with the loss.
Freshman Demaris Andrews (Bayonne, New Jersey) led all scorers with a team-high 17 points and tied for another team-best with two steals defensively. Sophomore Alicia Tomby (Berbice, Guyana) hauled down a game-high tied and career-high nine rebounds while contributing to the scoring with four points and freshman Amanda Araujo (Bronx, New York) tied a team-best with two steals.
Freshman Kayla Rodriguez (Brooklyn, New York) grabbed five rebounds, and Andrews corralled four.
Six Passaic County Community College players finished the evening in double figures, led by Jasmine Price's game-high 22 points, and tied another with nine boards. Yasminah White drained 16 points, while Paige Neal had 12 points off the bench. Nandi Starr Cameron gobbled up a game-high nine steals and scored 11 points, and Jade Ramos-Henkel also had 11 and dished out a game-high six assists. Taylor Riddick also added 10 points off the bench for Passaic County Community College.
